Project Title: Renaissance Project Class: AC Humanities PURPOSE: In this section, explain what you were supposed to learn and what you were supposed to do. Sentence Starters The purpose of this project was to learn about the life of people in the renaissance and to learn the famous people of the renaissance. In order to learn about the life and social class of people in the renaissance, we had to write notes. Then we had to pick a famous person from the renaissance and research about them to find notes so we could write a biography and a timeline. We had a renaissance ball to explain to other people what our person did that made them be remembered today. WHAT I LEARNED In this section, tell what information or skills you learned or improved. Sentence Starters I learned about the different classes like the peasants, nobles, lords, and slaves. We also learned about one famous person that we picked and then we found out information about them to make a biography and a timeline. Then we had a ball where we learned how to do the Pavan and we discussed our people. I chose Galileo Galilei for my person and I learned about how he discovered the law of falling bodies, invented the telescope, and he got arrested by the Catholic Church. REFLECTION In this section, reflect on your experience. Did you like the project? Why or why not? How did you do? What would you do differently next time? Sentence Starters I enjoyed this project because I got to be the person that I chose for first choice. Next time, I would have tried to do some extra credit because I finished my biography early so I could have done some extra credit. I really liked the ball because it was fun to dress up like our person and tell people about ourselves. I think it was a fun way to present what we learned. ARTIFACTS You should have at least one artifact from each project on your DP. What document, picture, or link will you have for this project? I am going to have a link to my powerpoint on my DP.
